Rigetti Computing: I Caught The Falling Knife, And My Hand Never Felt Better!
It’s tempting to jump in and bargain hunt among stocks that crash hard, but many warn against trying to catch a so-called falling knife.
I ignored the warning and caught the Rigetti Computing knife after it collapsed when words spoken by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang surfaced about quantum computing’s usefulness being far off.
Huang shifted gears (and now speaks of an “inflection point”), while RGTI has been progressing impressively in balancing speed with fidelity as it traverses its 4-year path to “quantum advantage.”
RGTI is all in on superconducting, an approach to quantum computing that leverages long-established chipmaking techniques and which is easy to scale.
As a pre-commercial development company, revenues, margins, valuation ratios, etc., are meaningless. Based on my S/R (Story/Risk) ratio, RGTI remains a ‘Buy’.
